Her areas of expertise include nutrition, healthy lifestyle physical activity, behavioral changes, weight management, shared care for pregnancy, sleep, exercise, mental health, sexual health and preventative medicine. Dr Caroline is also an S100 prescriber for HIV .Dr Caroline remains committed to the latest developments in lifestyle medicine believing that prevention is the key for better health. She is a leader in this field and communicates the latest in medical advances not only to her patients but also to a broader audience through her work as a media doctor, health broadcaster, corporate speaker and consultant.

She is a co author of the textbook Lifestyle Medicine, Managing diseases in the 21st Century . Around Australia she regularly presents workshops on Lifestyle Medicine. Stress management and preventive health. She is a past adjunct professional fellow at Southern Cross University .
Dr Caroline is an ambassador for cycling in the City of Sydney appearing in the "Everything's connected , Caroline "series. She enjoys keeping active with surfboard riding , cycling to work and kayaking . She also has a love of art and music (her passion for the ukelele is legendary). She looks forward to seeing you at the opening nights of the East Sydney Doctors Art Gallery .
Caroline is also a vocal champion of preventative medicine and has been an ambassador for Global World Sight Day promoting prevention of vision loss. In 2017 Caroline became an ambassador for Chronic Pain Australia and spokesperson for National Pain Week .
Dr Caroline West holds a Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery from the University of NSW. On graduation she was awarded the prize for most outstanding achievement in community medicine.
